ESPON 2013
The ESPON II Programme is a European Spatial Planning Observation Network Programme, which was set up to support policy development and to build a European scientific community in the field of territorial development.
The main aim of this programme is to increase the general body of knowledge about territorial structures, trends and policy impacts in an enlarged EU.
All Member States are eligible to participate in ESPON II. The ESPON II Programme is one of the Territorial Cooperation Programmes which are funded by the European Regional Development Fund under Cohesion Policy 2007-2013.

The first and second call closed on 22nd March 2008 and 15th October 2008 respectively.

The Malta Environment and Planning Authority is the National Contact Point of the Programme in Malta.
